Reflection on Empowerment Technologies

According to the Merriam-Webster Dictionary, empowerment is defined as granting of the power, right, or authority to perform various acts or duties.

In the subject “Empowerment Technologies”, I’ve learned that we are truly given the authority to do great things through the simple use of ICT. This is evidenced during the Million People March, the EDSA Dos, and the use of the Yolanda People Finder. We are blessed by God with the gift of technology, and it’s our duty to make the most of this blessing for the common good. Therefore, we must learn more about technology, its strengths and flaws. Because if we do, we are capable of doing the right thing that can change hundreds, thousands, or even millions.

‘Nobela’ by Join The Club, a heartbreaking classic.

The song “Nobela” by Join The Club was released on 2005 under their album: “Nobela”. The simple yet heartbreaking lyrics is enough to induce with “LSS” or “Last Song Syndrome”. The song talks about heartbreaks, unrequited love, and the feeling of rejection. The song is very relatable, especially to the present generation’s teenagers who are very sensitive to love. I highly suggest that everyone should hear this song.
